we left sometime around 9 and arrived in tenacatita at 1:30. a great anchorage, winds are 13 knots and building. i kayaked briefly along the cliffs and saw a few odd things - a pelican sitting in a tree, cactus growing out of a rock, a waterfall of cactus down a cliff, and cactus growing next to trees with vines draped around them. jim and i swam around the boat and cleaned the boat and dinghy bottoms. just as sunset was unfolding a couple we met in the sea of cortez back in march came by. turns out they'd arrived just behind us so we enjoyed visiting with them. i got my hammock up and gave it a short test. a day xmas eve for us.
