Another great breakfast and then back to Tlaquepaque to see the ofrendas. Some big old building with small rooms was used by local students to make their own ofrendas or alters for someone who died. Aye carumba I couldn’t bring my camera. It was really amazing though, how varied the alters were. Some were somber, others had a real sense of humor. Then Jim went back to Guadalajara to visit the historical buildings while I went back to Tonala to buy ceramics. It’s a shoppers paradise - the best deals and central place for buyers all over Mexico. We met up at sunset to wander downtown and catch the ballet being offered behind the teatro.
