after our fabulous meal at mercedes (see my last post) we were strolling back down madero street toward our B&B. we saw a big crowd and the street was closed off. lucky for us we had perfect timing as they were getting ready to light THE cathedral. it was a really big deal with music blaring and a lot of spanish coming through the speakers we couldn't understand. jim got it on video and as soon as we figure out how to upload it we'll be happy to share it. it was way cool.
