we did have fabulous sunsets just off the stern

and reflected in the water

so we leave la cruz in about an hour.  we've had a great time while we were here and are very grateful to dave for driving us all over to run errands.  we spent a lively evening at philo's last night for dinner and music and enjoying the company of alan and chris and dave. 

next stop is across banderas bay, anchorage to be determined says jim.  we'll spend a few days there then round cabo corrientes and gunkhole down the coast.

casa venezuela in guadalajara oct. 29

Oct. 29 we left at 7am for our trip to the michoachan area - guadalajara for 3 nights, patzcuaro for 2 nights, and morelia for 3 nights. we took the luxury bus Primera Plus. as you can see below, jim had no problem getting comfortable on the bus.

we arrived in guadalajara just in time for lunch. during our meal we were approached by a young woman wanting to sell us her cd. she played background music from her cell phone and sang us one of her songs so how could we resist?

we stayed at a B&B called Casa Venezuela, in an old but elegantly restored Mexican colonial house. George, the owner, is a real shopper and has a terrific eye for decorating. He and his little dog made us feel right at home.
