casa venezuela in guadalajara oct. 29

Oct. 29 we left at 7am for our trip to the michoachan area - guadalajara for 3 nights, patzcuaro for 2 nights, and morelia for 3 nights. we took the luxury bus Primera Plus. as you can see below, jim had no problem getting comfortable on the bus.

this is "no-wahl" - the cutest dog with lots of personality. he ran the house.

the dining room where we had terrific breakfasts. i couldn't believe his ceramics collection which isn't really shown here.

we arrived in guadalajara just in time for lunch. during our meal we were approached by a young woman wanting to sell us her cd. she played background music from her cell phone and sang us one of her songs so how could we resist?
we stayed at a B&B called Casa Venezuela, in an old but elegantly restored Mexican colonial house. George, the owner, is a real shopper and has a terrific eye for decorating. He and his little dog made us feel right at home.
