Jim on July 21 - gybing with squalls

Gybed to port yesterday to head further south. The weather forecast was for winds to get significantly lighter the way that I was going. I hoped that I was making a move that other people were not doing. Unfortunately, at the 2100 roll call it looks like my main competition did exactly the same thing. Not sure when I will gybe back. Depends on the weather forecast.Passed the halfway point yesterday. I have 993 miles to go. At current speed will finish in 6-7 days.Had my first rain squall yesterday. It was a small one. Brought a little wind and cooled things off a little.
